Dealer Spotlight

Trailside General Store was opened on a full time basis in March of 1998, and continues to serve the fishing and convenience needs of the Berry Bend area on Truman Lake. Built be Wayne Feil in 1997, the store is still owned and operated by Wayne and his wife Linda, who were married in September 2006. From the beginning the store was designed to be different than most "Lake" stores in the area by offering more tackle items than most convenience stores. As the store has evolved and expanded over the years to include cold beer, groceries, gas, and gift items, it has kept its emphasis on fishing tackle and the needs of the fisherman.

Buying habits of people have changed since we opened in 1998. We now get more people looking for higher quality fishing items. We are a small store, with limited space, so we have to make good choices on what we stock. The additions of B-n-M poles, Vicious Fishing line, and Bobby Garland baits have helped us to keep up with the trend toward quality tackle. We intend to be here for several more years, so when in the Truman Lake area, Stop be and say Howdy.
