Zeke Gossett (pictured) may be Vicious Fishing’s youngest pro staffer, but don’t take that to mean he’s a push-over.  Since turning pro in 2003 (when he was just six years old), Zeke has made quite a name for himself as a talented young angler racking up impressive tournament wins and gaining sponsorships all the while.

Now just 13 years old, Gossett recently won the Alabama Sports Festival tournament on Martin Lake—sometimes referred to as the “Alabama Olympics” and squashed his competition in the 14-and-under division.  Winning gold in individual with a haul of 16.53lbs, his nearest competitor had only 9lbs.

He also took the win in the team competition along with his partner Anthony “Opie” Elliot.  Together, they pulled in 20.24 pounds to win that event by more than nine pounds.  To top it off, his individual haul was also better than that of the winner of the 19-and-under division and he was the only competitor on the lake that day to bring in a five-fish limit.

Tony Campbell

Vicious Fishing would like to congratulate Tony Campbell of Sharpsburg, GA on winning the BASS Weekend Series event at West Point Lake in June.  He caught a solid limit throwing a frog around dead bushes using 50lb. Vicious Braid fishing line and solidified the win with a nice 3 lb. largemouth to cull using 8 lb. Vicious Ultimate fishing line and a Strike King Shaky Head.  His winning weight was 16.08 lbs.  Way to go Tony!

Vicious Fishing Pro Elite Fluorocarbon fishing line is set to release in January of 2011, and is the newest addition to the strong, reliable and proven fishing lines in the Vicious Fishing series that offers great results at the best value. Pro Elite Fluorocarbon will be available in 200-, 500- and 800-yard spools, plus in leader wrist spools. Anglers who use spinning reels with braided fishing line can benefit from a fluorocarbon leader to get the best of both worlds – strength and durability from lure to spool with the two types, along with the near-invisibility of fluorocarbon at the terminal end.

Vicious Elite Team member John Crews of Virginia used Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon in March to win the opening Bassmaster Elite Series tournament on the California Delta. Pro Elite Fluorocarbon fishing line also has been tested for small and big game fish in thick cover and clear water, and is certain to work on whatever species is targeted.
